Stock Reports and Pitches

I am very fortunate to have super star students who have great attitudes in the 21-month Investment Management Certificate Program (IMCP) at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. You can see their resumes by clicking here (second year students), here (first year students), and here (some additional students).

.

Professionals generally use the word “impressive” to describe the “sell-side” stock reports, even though it is the result of just the first five of the 21 months of training (imagine how good they are after 21). The reports represent work from the first semester, since during the second semester students pitch stocks in front of investors and work on real business projects (valuation) for small firms, and in the second year they manage three real portfolios so they cannot be taking time to write long reports (they still perform the research).

.

The link below takes you to a website with all of the reports, sorted by sector, for the last couple years. Any university can provide you with one great example, but it is more impressive to provide you with all of their work so you can see first-hand that it is all solid.
